Does anyone know why some fixtures have a white border around them and some don't? I would like to get rid of this but am not even sure what it's called. This is in Revit 2014.

The family has a masking region in it.  Edit the family and remove that.

I attached one of the lighting fixture families. I couldn't find a masking region in it.

I don't see what you do when I place this hosted on a ceiling and it does not do this in the plan view either.

le is a detail item - shows up in VG under that category.  You can turn that off in VG ....

But your right - there does not seem to be a masking region in this nested detail element.

I just tried placing it in different plans and had the same result. It didn't mask anything. So it must have something to do with my background. It's ontop of a linked DWG file.
