Hello,

I am trying to create a workaround for the fact that Revit is unable to display lineweights correctly in elevation views.  Does anyone know how to setup custom/instance/Project Parameters corresponding to each elevation view, for the objects (like walls) to be overridden?

Thank you!

Thanks for the response.  That's funny that you posted that because that's what I'm looking at.  He says about halfway through "On a real project I suggest that you setup custom/instance/Project Parameters corresponding to each elevation view, for the Objects to be overridden (walls in this case): perhaps they look similar to Image 11 & 12's List of Potential Instance Parameters for Walls to be overridden using the Filter Method:" But I don't know how to do this!

Read your Help on how to create filters.  You can apply the filters by view or by element instance.  Filters can be set to apply to different or multiple categories, disciplines and selected project parameters.

What you could do is set up a template for section views, and everytime you make a new section view assign your template to it. The template should incorporate overrides for line weight in the correct model category of element you want to modify. So in the template you would go to the model tab>go to walls row>click on the "lines" column click twice>change the line weight to what you want them to be. If this doesn't fix it you will need to set the Line thickness for each of the numbered categories,i.e. 1,2,etc. you can find that menu in the manage tab>Additional setting>line style, here you can set the thickness to what number you assign the override to, be careful though because this will affect your other line weights, unless you create a new style and override the line style with the one you just created. and also watch out because eah line thickness depends on what scale you are in as well. hope it helps.
