I am trying to show the "beyond" look in my elevations using filters. This blog best explains what I am trying to do: http://cad-vs-bim.blogspot.com/2010/10/are-revit-elevation-views-leaving-you.html . I have labeled all my walls and wall sweeps with different comments to try to achieve the look we want. I ran into an issue where I want the casing of my windows to appear darker than the rest of the window relative to the wall it is placed in. For example, if the projection lines of my wall are a lineweight of "3" then I want only the casing of my window to be a "3." Same goes for projection lineweights 2 and 1. I know I can change the subcategory lineweight universally using object styles, but is there a way I can filter just the subcategory of my window like I filtered my walls so that I have windows with different casing lineweights in a single elevation?

Thank you!

You may be able to do this using a second control parameter in your filter.  Maybe placing windows in seperate worksets and using that as one of the control parameter.   Filter on >

  1. workset near & window x : subcategry x = lineweight 10 ....
  2. workset far & window x: subcategory x = lineweight 5.
