Hello,
I attached a very basic square. I added a sheet "unnamed". If I click on the sheet and try to add a view floor plan level 1 is not listed. I just want to know why it is not listed.

I'm not understanding your question. There is nothing attached either. Are you saying you have a floor plan view called level one and it is not showing up i nyour project browser?

Your question isn't clear. "...I attached a very basic square...."
Did you create a sheet family using the family template or modifing an existing one ?
Did you then load that sheet into your project?
Then did you create a sheet in the project using that family?
And finally did you add a view to the sheet?

I have two floor plans level 1 and level 2. Level one is at 0' elevation and level 2 at 10' elevation. I drew some walls on level 1 that are 8'. I added a sheet so I could use the 8.5x11" standard revit template. I go to that new sheet and the titleblock is shown and right click and try to add a view. The view list that shows up does not have level 1 in the list. All other levels are shown (level 2, all the 3d views, etc.). I just do not understand why level 1 is not listed.

If level 1 ever existed, then you somehow deleted it or you may have renamed it.
You can click on the view tab / plan views / floor plan and pick level 1 to create a level 1 floor plan. If Level 1 is not there, then it may have been renamed and if you uncheck the box "do not duplicate existing views" then it will show up. But this means you have a miss-named plan.
Another possible user mistake is that from a section or elevation, you renamed the floor level and accepted Revit's option of renaming the associated plans.

Someone from CADTutor helped out. I was usingRevit's construction template. The template had a few sheets already created. The floor plan: level 1 was on one of those sheets. I created a sheet and floor plan: level 1 was not showing up on the view list because it was on another sheet. ERRR!!! I though I was losing my mind.
