Hi, we're trying to print sheets to PDF for a deadline today, and just started experiencing a problem with lineweights/grayscale.
Revit platform: 2015
PDF platform: Adobe PDF (worst results), BLuebeam PDF (slight better results)
When printing directly to the Xerox printer in our office, the black lines look fine.
Even when printing to PDF, the black lines look fine in the print preview, but they change to grayscale in the actual PDF.
I've scoured through some old posts and found suggestions about Design Options (we're set to "Main Model" when printing) and active views (all views are deactivated when printing the sheet).

do a simple test drawing of half a dozen lines with different line weights (labelled of course) to see if it is the thinner lines causing the issue.
in the pdf printer the properties arent set to grey scale by chance?
i use cute pdf and there are a couple places where this could be the problem.
1) under the printer setup| appearance|colours tab, and there are 3 options, black lines, grey scale, or color .
2) under the printer advanced document settings|GRAPHIC there is the ICM (Image Color Management) Options,
ICM method and ICM intent, maybe these are the culprits.

You might also look under your printer dialog box to see if you're set to print raster or vector. Raster seems to convert most all lines to lighter/ grey lines.

Had a similar problem where in the pdf object lines, not annotations, would come out pixelated and fuzzy. Check under "Graphic Display Options" in the properties bar and make sure that "Show Ambient Shadows" is unchecked in the Shadows tab.
