I have a friend that works at circiut city and can get me any latop that I want at a real good price. I was wondering which latop would be good for revit. I'll be building alot of buiings and rendering. The rendering will be done on my desktop. Can you guys give me your picks. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-VAIO-Notebook-PC-VGN-FE550G-/sem/rpsm/oid/144049/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/HP-Pavilion-Notebook-PC-DV8130US-/sem/rpsm/oid/141883/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

I have a similar laptop to the HP one you show that I got a few weeks ago that I use as a secondary computer, except that it has a Pentium 4. I don't think the processor in the one you show will be adequate for Revit. Be sure to get at least one gig of memory. I love my HP, the screen is bright and clear, and the numeric keypad is a big plus! John Post edited on 2006-03-02 15:19:47 Post edited on 2006-03-02 15:20:38

mate, the things to remember are: a good cpu (athlon if you can) not the M intel type, they won't be good. lot's (and I repeat lots) of RAM a good video card, but you don't have to worry too much about it, OpenGL support is a bit of a myth... does your friend post to Australia? Smile
