So I have a long list of general notes that won't fit in one column on my drawing sheet.  I created a text note, went to "Paragraph Format" and added numbers.   The issue is that I need two columns.  If I create them as separate text notes, I can't figure out how to get the list to start at any number other than 1.  I could do them all in one text note if there was a tool to break the columns (like there is for keynotes) but I can't find such a tool.  Is there any way to make this work?  Or do I have to go back to individual dumb text notes where you have to renumber the whole list any time you insert or delete anything?

revit text notes are terrible.  not nearly as good as autocad's.  What i found worked was doing large blocks of notes like this:  http://www.augi.com/library/tips-for-manipulating-text-in-revit

now it comes with it's own set of annoyances (spell check for example, and editing a field...)

but i do all my text in word first, spell check it, then paste it in.

here's an example of one i did.

thanks for your help.  I was afraid it was something like that - "we added the ability to make a list within the text notes... but it's not actually useful so you might as well keep using workarounds."

Some people use a Schedule Key from a non-use category.
