Hello all,

When dimensioning walls, i am having to individually move each dimension text in roder to reduce the clutter. Can someone please show me how to set default settings so dimension text appear as follows.

It appears you are using the correct process.  This can only be manually done.

The dimension text always comes centered on the dimension line. If it is too cluttered, you have two options:

 

1. You might want to either change the scale. If you have too many dimensions that you have to keep adjusting, this might indicate that the detail or drawing needs to be at a different scale.

2. Or you can also tweak how the dimension displays. For example I generally turn of the leading 0' (Suppress 0 feet), so if all you have is an inch or fraction of an inch dimension, it will not add the zero feet (3 1/2" vs 0' - 3 1/2"). You can also try (Suppress spaces).
