Good morning

I fully expect to be scolded for this question but it is doing my head in and I can't find a resolve. In my building elevation left and right on sheets I need to tighten up the extent of the levels.

West Elevation

I have the left side symbol at end showing off the bulding face for legibility, the right side is off but extends into my titleblock as it depicts the extent of the east elevation. When I move the extents in it affects my west level extents. Is there a way to move them left or right in each view independantly so they don't affect the other?

Cheers

and thank you wwhub for the comment on the layers. I am still playing Sherlock on that one.

Read your HELP: This topic

Datum Extents and Visibility

http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2015/ENU/?guid=GUID-4E36EDA0-2F4E-4619-B568-AC758E8D9770

It will teach you more about levels and grids.

  1. Model extent control
  2. Drag the hollow circle 3D control at either end of the datum to the desired location.
  3. Click the 3D control. It changes to display 2D, and the control changes from an open circle to a filled circle. This means the datum is in view-specific mode. If you resize the datum, the change occurs in that view only

thank you again for the direction wwhub. didn't know how to phrase it in help.
