Hello All -

I'm working in Revit 2014, with Update 2 Applied. Detail level = Fine, Visual style = Hidden Line, View Template = Architectural Elevation

I created a model of a small structure which has some stacked walls. The stacked walls are thicker in the middle and thinner at the top and bottom. Everything looked normal at this point.

I then inserted structural wood trusses into the model. The outside face of each truss is offset inward from the face of plywood of each wall it contacts. So  - Edge of truss, 1/4" space, plywood, exterior finish (stucco) - in the case we are discussing.

This all appears perfectly fine in plan, section and elevation. I.e. - the trusses are all fully within the evnvelope so that all that is visible from the outside is the exterior finish...BUT if I create a perspective view, the walls that have the trusses in them are transparent where they are thinner. I.e. - the thicker stacked portion in the middle retains it's opaqueness. Since I've cut sections, I can see that the two do not cross one another.

Any ideas why this may be happening? I'd like to produce a perspective for an owner, but I do not want to show him all of the trusses. Also, i've tried "hiding category and hiding element" in the perspective view but the walls remain transparent.

I've attached screen shots of a perspective view, an elevation view, a section and a detail at the truss end. Any assistance is appreciated.
