I'm using Revit 2014 for a building that has a low slope roof (2%) and a high parapet.  The building is concrete and so is the roof.  I have been drawing the roof boundaries to align with the face of the Wall Core, and then using the "Attach Top" function to stop the furring/ insulation at the roof, and continue the concrete up to the level of the parapet.  This has worked for 99% of the exterior walls, but I've run into several walls, that just don't want to work.  I've attached a couple views for reference.  The one on the left in each view shows what the majority of the walls end up looking like, the one on the right shows a before, and then an after.  I have no idea what's causing the difference, and it's screwing a lot of things up.  The roof's associated level is T/Beam, and all of the parapets extend well above, but for whatever reason, when I use the "Attach Top" function, The finish portion of the wall attaches to the roof as it is supposed to, but the Wall Core seems to snap to the lowest point of the roof, even though the roof does not overlap it.

Any advice that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

For reference, All of my walls have an assigned top constraint of "T/ Beam" plus the perscribed parapet height.  I have tried doing the roof by extrusion or by plan, and I get the same result each time.  I've deleted the wall and recreated it.  I've done the same with the roof.  I've tried unlocking each part of the wall structure, and that has crashed revit twice now.

In your first image on the left, I don't see any way Revit would have done that.  Revit doesn't do that unless you have unlocked layers.

Typically, we split the wall horizontally at the roof line and assign a different wall type to the parapet portion.  Typically that is more consistent with the actual construction.  Parapets are typically uninsulated and the interior face is usually a different material then the wall below.  I would recommend that process.

If you want something more like what you show, consider unlocking the layer and pulling that up or down.  Your problem will be interior walls because only adjacent layers can be unlocked.  However, instead of unlocking face layers, you can unlock the core and pull this up/down.

I don't completely understand the situation but you way want to investigate using 'parts' to divide up the wall and manipulate the layers individually.
