Dears all
I AM WORKING AS A MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN FOR HVAC. MY BOSS NEED A DUCT SUPPORT
WITH ALL THE DETAILS LIKE HANGER, THREADED ROD, NUT,WASHER ETC. ALSO HE NEED ALL THE QUANTITY
TAKE OFF FOR THESE DUCT HANGERS WITH ALL THE ITEMS USED.
HOW TO MAKE A NESTED FAMILY WITH ALL OF THESE DETAILS TO GET THE QUANTITY.
PLEASE HELP.
I AM NEW TO REVIT.............

I really don't think you want to nest these in any ducts. Instead you would model these in a seperate category. Do you really need nested families for nuts and washers or would you just need a quantity for each placement and that could be a seperate shared parameter. I would think the later.

yes you are right. i dont want to nest the support with duct.
the important thing is to show this support in duct layout
to get the quantities like how many supports used, then the sub categories
like number of nuts washer threaded rod etc....
