I have a project coming up that is going to require double pitched underslung joists. I have done a fair amount of looking on the web and around forums for easy ways to either modify the joists already in Revit for a double slope or I tried to find someone who has already done something like this. It sounds like there are a few who have done something like this but I have been unable to figure it out. I have a basic understanding of revit but have not worked with creating or modifying families.
I am using Revit 2015. I see in thier family library that they have double slung SLH joists already in the library but when I place them in the project, the peak is lined up with the floor level I placed it at. I included a screen shot showing what I am talking about in Revit. I understand that I can change the base offsets to make it line up, I would just like to know if anyone knows a way to not fake it in.
If anyone has anything that will help it would be greatly appreciated.

Click on the joist and attach an image of your properties, I have a feeling you have it associated with the first floor and an offset on it.
If you don't have experience creating families you should start reading up on them as they are a big part of Revit. You should start by reading the Revit Families guide

I found a fully parametric family for all kinds of joists. The link to download is below.
