I want to create a custom stair tread and riser profile for a stair shaft assembly spanning 11 stories. I want the riser to have a 1/4" reveal where the riser meets the tread below it, similar to the attached image. The problem is that the floor-to-floor heights vary at times, thus the riser heights also vary floor-to-floor.

Is there a way to create a riser (or nosing) profile that "flexes" with the actual riser height so that the reveal size is consistent? Or will I have to make separate riser profiles for each different riser height?

I'm using Revit 2014 with Update Release 1.

It would be very useful to know this. I'm looking at a similar problem that this would solve.

in the section view make some callouts referencing each different riser condition.

then place on a sheet the different conditions details the various callouts refer back to, perhaps side by side etc so easy to find etc.
