I am using Revit 2014.  I have noticed that you can use a "Material" Keynote in a Legend but not an "Element" Keynote.  Is this actually true or am I doing something wrong?

Related to that - any chance that in 2015 we will be able to use tags in legends?

Any work-arounds for these issues?

In both legends and drafting views, you can place detail components and those can be keynoted.  We use an IDF (Invisible detail family that has red crosshairs - sub category line - that is normally turned off and an invisible circle)  (Thanks rkitect)

oh.... and the IDF can be tagged to if you set up one.

OK.  I have that working.  I can tag the IDF with a detail tag but how would I get it to accept a wall tag?

You can't use a wall tag.  You need a special tag here that you create.  Try a multicategory ... and you will need a shared parameter in that IDF family for the tag to read.

You can edit your detail tag to create a new one that looks like your wall tag.
