Hi all.

Does anyone know how I can get a revit link to change phase?

We use here at work only two phases. Existing and New construction. We overwrite all existnig elements to have surface pattern diagonal up and to be halftone. Pretty basic.

I linked an old project to build an addition and would like that link to be like my Existing phase. Diagonal up and half tone.

When I go into the link's type properties to edit the phase mapping to have the links New Construction phase to equal the current project's Existing phase it never works.

Here is what I do.

Photo1 is the default mapping.

Photo2 does not do anythnig.

photo3 my whole link model dissapeers.

What am I missing?

I thought that mapping phases would let you specify which phase in the linked model is equivalent to each phase in the project.

I need to have my linked New constrcution phase take on the current project's Existing phase properties.

Can this be done?

Thanks for the help.
