Hi there,I need to create an extrior finish on my building which will be ceramic cladding, high gloss, black.I created a new wall type and made the outside suface porcelain, black and set the appearance to high gloss. However it just looks like a matt, completely black finish when i render.

I have attatched an image of the kind of finish i want and wondered if somebody could point me in the right direction....?

I'm quite a novice and I'm using Revit 2014.

Many ThanksJess

Tp get the glossy effect you need to have good lighting specified and it must be a 'rendered' view.

You also need to add a "bump" to simulate the tiled appearance.

Instead of starting with a "paint" 'type appearance, insert the porcelain appearance from Revit and modify this (copy as a generic).

See image attached for an example.
