I was thinking about the idea of having an index schedule at the bottom right of a sheet that has a lot of general notes that references specific drafting views that are dropped onto the sheet.  The idea is that someone looking for a specific note could view the index, see a title, (View Name) and then go to the corresponding referenced note (REFERENCING DETAIL) without having to search the entire sheet looking for what they want.

I would need to have "Referencing Detail" and "View Name" become parameters of the schedule, however neither seem to be available and creating parameters in drafting views isn't available either.

Is it possible?

Is there a workaround?

Search View List in your HELP.  I believe it is what you are looking for.

OOOO.....so close...

Good idea I hadn't thought of, but it still doesn't seem to allow me to schedule the referenced detail number, only the sheet it's on.  The view list is good, but lack of referencing hurts its effectiveness.

The view list works with a workaround of numbering the view name title and then sorting for view name.  Not exquisite, but it does get the job done.
