I really wish that Revit would adapt their plan View Range settings, to include an option for View Height, similar to "View Depth", only for items above the "Primary Range".
They already do this for items below, putting them in the <Beyond> line style. It seems like it would be a very simple thing to add the "View Height" and put those items on the <Overhead> style.
My office show a large amount of canopies and overhead items in plan, as dashed lines, and it completely undermines the whole connectivity of Revit to use detail lines for this, because then you have to go back and constantly fix them any time something changes.

What I desire is a function where you don't have to trace anything, similar to how you can set it for things below the primary range. I use the tracing method now, and I just think it could be streamlined into an automated feature.
