Hi,

Just getting back to using Revit after o long a time away. I am using Revit 2012 and trying to place a roof using the walls below. I seem to remember it would first ask what kind of roof do you want. It did not. I pick the walls and set my overhangs and slopes etc. just fine. When I am finished and have my lines attached to each other it does not give me the finish mode check?

Do I have an issue with the sotware that I am not getting the proper menus at the top?

Do you have all of the updates installed for 2012?  You would change your roof in the properties pulldown, it doesn't have a dialog box that pops up and asks you what type you want, you need to tell it.  For it to not give you the green Check Mark it sounds like you don't have the updates installed.

teafoe5,

That may be, I am not sure. Just know when I used it after my classes it worked fine now it does not? Do you think I shuold re-load the program? I posted before about adding crown molding to cabinets and it was the same issue that it would not finish the mode.

I think you need to download the updates, they fix problems.  Was there a solution to your post before?

If you have 2012 on your PC and its saying it cannot find it you are most likely downloading the wrong file.
