I've been at this for about an hour and I can't seem to figure out how to get this railing to slope like the railing behind it. I'm trying to get get the railing to go up the stairs and then go down the ramp. Attatched is what the railing currently looks like.

I am currently using Revit 2014.

looks like the problem railing thinks its still on the landing.

in your railing sketch have you put in a short line going from landing to ramp, then the long railing down the ramp.

in other words telling revit there is a break in slope ocurring where the short and long meet.

hope you can follow this.

This was actually one of the first things I tried. Usually when this kind of issue props up I just slice the line in the sketch and it "bends" into place. Any other thoughts on what it might be?

The railing is over the ramp and it isn't offset.

Did you try - pick host?

You have to pay attention to where the railing sketch is in relation to the ramp.  The sketch needs to be over the host.  Then if you need to you set the offset to get the rail where you need it.

What I'm essentially trying to do is what is shown in the last post of this thread: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=26539

I know how to host a railing ... that's not the issue ... it's a matter of making it either have one railing be hosted by 2 objects or have it appear like it is.

You need two seperate railings.

Ah, alright. And so how would you make it look like they're a continuous railing? Just overlap one with the other? Again, my end goal is what the person did in the pdf in the link I posted above.

Edit: Ok so I played around with it a bit more and I figured out the answer. It turns out, you're right, WWHub ... I needed two separate railings, however the part of the railing that is on the landing needed to be in the ramp sketch, not the stair sketch.
