Hi Everyone,

 

I was try to modify an existing wall and i'm unable to delete an existing finish layer present in the family.

Kindly suggest possible issues.The image is attached for the reference.

Interesting, is this the only wall layer you cannot erase?  Are you having this problem with any other walls?

Did you achieve the two finish1[4] layers with a split region? Whether you know that answer or not, try this:

Change the preview to 'section: modify type' then select 'merge regions' and pick the two finishes. That will allow you to delete one and you'll have to re-enter the thickness for the remaining one.

@teafoe5: Yes it was happening with this particular wall only.

@ Johnzo142: Thanks a lot.. Your trick worked. The issue is with the wall type Exterior - Render on Brick on Block.

i modified it to generate the wall type required.

But could you please tell us what are the divisions that ive highlighted in the image attached. Are these sweeps or reveals? I tried modifying them but couldnt.

You can see what they are for yourself and you should learn how to modify walls.  Click on the sweeps button.

 

Pleas read you help on walls....
