HiI have a problem with linking my cad. I have linked the cad, but I am not able to draw a slab, using the lines from the dwg. file. I am also wondering how I can hide unnessescary things like furnitures etc. I want to know if there is a quick way to just mark the "wall lines" from the dwg. file and put a slab directly on top.ThanksMagnus

First, never use the lines from a CAD file.  Revit demands that parallel lines are parallel by Revit's standards and CAD lines that appear to be parallel rarely stand up to Revit's requirements.  Angles also don't work.   So instead, sketch your slab edges over top of the CAD file.

If the furniture is on a seperate layer as it should be, you can turn off that layer in your VG.

Is there a quick method for sketching the slab edges over the CAD file? Or do I have to draw the slab line by line? I remember after marking the edgdes of the CAD file I only had to click once and the slab would would pop up by itself. Also, I have hidden my CAD file in another level, and I can't seem til get it back on the screen. Is there a solution for this hickup as well?

I would draw by line starting in one corner.  If you know the exact dimensions then pay attention to your temporary dimensions and draw it exact.

Once you have one floor done, you can copy that floor to other levels - no need to re-sketch it.  Pick the floor - copy to clipboard, then paste to selected levels.
