I have two buildings positioned on a site plan. Now that I have started topo I realize I need to move the location of one of the buildings. Is there a way to select the building as a whole and reposition it on the site plan?

Think about this.... What information have you given us?  Are these buildings and site all in the same file or what?

Is all of this in the same project or do you have the buildings linked into the topo surface?  Ideally you would have done each building in a separate file (depending on size) and linked one into the other and linked either into the topo or linked the topo into one of the building projects.  If it is all in one file you will need to go to a 3D view and just window all of the building you want to move and move it.

Thank you for your response WWHub. You will have to forgive me as I do do not know what information I need to give you in order for you to give me the proper answer. I have no prior AutoCAD experience and I have only been using this program for a few weeks with no training at all.

Thank you Teafoe5 for your response. I was able to view the site plan in 3D, select just the building I wanted to move and then cut and paste it into a new location. It was quite simple.

Be careful here.  You still do not tell us how this is modeled. Is this a linked file or what????

Cut and paste is not what any of us would suggest if it is linked or modeled all as one.  Selecting in 3D might also be inappropriate depending on what there is in your model.
