Hello there,
I am trying to import an autocad dwg file-3d map of an area to Revit, where in the autocad file you can obviously select it one by one building seperately. So i went on Revit, insert --> import cad and then got the map as one object. do you have any idea how can I split the object to smaller elements, so that i can select each building and edit them seperately..? also if there was a post like this before with the answer just copy the url . thank you in advance

A link is just that.. a link, you cannot modify it to move things around, if you want separate buildings you need to link them in separately.

Also, uou can't edit CAD in revit unless you explode it and I suggest you don't do that.
