Good morning,

So yesterday my Revit 14 started freaking out. The toolbar ribbon didnt vanish, the entire top of revit vanished.  Everything on my screen was the plan view.  This would happen when I would cut a section to look at something and then switch back from section view to plan view.  Only thing I could do was use the task manager to close revit because nothing from the bottom of the toolbar ribbon to the top border was there anymore.

I have downloaded every hotfix, update and any other magic hocus pocus Autodesk has put out.

Any ideas?

So you have both updates installed - you don't say?  Make sure you look uder the ? dropdown - about....

If you have both updates and still have a problem then it may be your graphics card.  Turn off hardware acceleration if it is on and see what that does.  Make sure you have the latest driver installed for that card.  Is the card listed as working by autodesk?

Then it is either a corrupted installation or a hardware problem.

This was posted in another forum: "...Well were experience graphics issues with Revit 2014... We were having a problem with graphics, filled regions and then the ribbon started acting up and disappearing.... We downloaded and installed the .net framework 4.5 and the graphics issues seem to have been resolved now....."

I had the .net framework downloaded and installed.

I am doing a repair on it now.

It would be advisable if you told us about your hardwarse.  It could be an incompatable card or out of date driver.  But i guess we are done.
