hi guys,

i just wonder to which category should I make the concrete window sill and header.  The window protrudes several inches from the wall, which causes deep sill and header.  I tried to make them under General Model category but i couldn't get rid of the edges when i join them with the wall (siding).  Also, I coudn't attach the top / bottom of the wall (Siding) to it, probably because it's just under General Model and not either floor or roof.  If I don't succed on getting rid of those unneccesary lines, they will show on elevation and may cause mistakes on the design.

Bytheway, I'm using Revit Architecture 2013.

please see attached images.

thanks.

I assume you made the sides as walls and the top and bottom a floor/roof? Or is this protruding window modelled as one family?

You could always override the linework in elevations to prevent mistakes during construction. This feature is under the tab Modify.

Another way is to add a finish to the exterior made as a thin wall. This will cover the sides of the roofs and floors.

Thanks KimTaurus.  I'll try your suggestions and see where it'll get me.

Until next time. :-)
