Hello,

I am using Revit 2014.  I have a series of indirect fixtures hanging below trusses and when I render it, it casts crazy shadows across the walls and ceiling.  Is there a way that you can choose which objects the lights cast shadows on, or any other suggestions on how to fix this?  I am using studio lights right now.  My main problem is that I am working with a linked MEP file and the lights are not turned on in the file.  For some reason, even when I edit the MEP file, the lights still won't come on so I have to place my own.  They are turned on in VG as well.  Any advice is helpful.

Thank you!

Check you Object Styles and material parameters for the windows.

It's possible the set material has a grey fill in the Graphics tab.

Nvm: wrong post.

In many cases, MEP lights are not functioning lights for renders.  You can turn off the visibility of linked file components under the view VG / Linked Revit/ custom ....and the linked file VG settings
