Hardware
2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
- Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz
- 16GB 1600MHz memory
- 512GB PCIe-based flash storage1
- Intel Iris Pro Graphics
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 750Mwith 2GB GDDR5 memory
Right now I'm trying to run Revit on Parallels 8.0, I can open Revit and select the sample project, but it doesn't want to open fully. I have to run the cursor across the ribbon bar for anything to show up and wait a long time for the drawing to load.
I have been reading that most people that use Revit with Parallels on a 4gb or 8gb ram mac are doing fine so what's my problem?
P.S. Also when I do run it the computer feels like it is going to melt.
The attachments might help some of you understand what is going on.

For anyone running a similar set-up. The answer lies in your resolution configuration of parallels. You need to change it from Best Retina to Scaled.
To configure, open a parallels window, then open the gear in the bottom right corner, click the hardware tab, then the video tab on the left and then scale.
