Revit 2014

Hi all,

I 'm new with Revit 2014, I have problem with Override Line Work(LW), I found it can override 3d model edge with Invisible line in project, But in family file I can't use this function.

So my question is If I want to hide some edge line in family model, How can I do it?

Thanks,

You can join the geometries. This will delete the lines from the shared edges.

Hi Kim,

Thank for your advice, But what I want to hide doesn't shared edges from two geometrys with joint geometry function can. My point is how to hide or change it to invisible line any edges that I choose it's like in Project file but in family edittion.

My previous attached, left image shown with edges in round conner in family file . Right is override edges in Project file.

Thanks,

This tool does not exist in the family.

In the family, you set model elements on or off as you need and add symbolic linework instead.

1. it's not possible to use line work in family editor, and it's not necessary at all. unless you're gona deliver the family not project.

2. the round edge shape in your family can be made without muliple edge lines by using smooth curved profile. it seems like polygon model. it must be imported from SU or somthing.
