I have Revit 2014 and the project has 4 elevation views. I can dimension in one view but not the others.  I pick the points I want to be dimension and it keeps going like I never picked anything.

Any help would be great.

Is it really an elevation or is it a 3D turned to an elevation?

In order to dimension between two objects the elements have to be parallel and not the edge of a curved plane.  Show us what you want to dimension.
