I work for a small school and our autocad lab uses revitvity.com. Recently the teacher reported the site would not load correctly - apparently it hasn't all year. Upon testing I noticed the site opens, but defaults to the about page. If we click a link to another resource, the page just reloads the about page.

I have tested other browsers, java, flash and ran a tracert which seems normal. When offsite the page seems to display fine, so I completely disabled the webfilter, but the site behaves the same.

I doubt the issue has anything to do with the site, but am running out of ideas that would explain this. Any suggestions?

Someone at the schools IP address was banned for inappropriate posting.  We have a standard reply that basically says:

Lately we have been having problems with students who come into the chat area and are abusive, vulgar or just disruptive. We advise the users when they open a chat session to "Please remember that RevitCity.com is a resource to the professional community, keep your language clean and appropriate."When users do not follow these rules we will ban them which results in a ban of the IP address. If the user is really vulgar or verbally abusive, we do not warn them. If they are just being disruptive, we try to give fair warning explaining what a ban will do. Sometimes that is enough.Anytime a user is banned from the chat, that IP address is also banned from the site. We had to do this because banning people only from the chat was causing problems. The offending student that was banned from the chat would often go to the forums and start posting offending content there. We know that RevitCITY is a great tool for students and we want you to be able to use it. We realize that this is affecting more than the offending student but we can not just ban individual students. In order to lift the ban, we need the offending student's username or at least the school's IP address. We also want the class instructor to get involved so that they are aware that their students are causing problems on the site during class time and if they don’t want to loose privileges to the site for their whole class again, they need to monitor what’s going on in the class better. If you agree to this, please respond to the RevitCity address.

Have someone from the school using a school email address contact us through the Home Page contact.
