Hi,

I am pretty new to the forum side of RevitCity, so apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section. If I have please re-direct me and I’ll be happy to re-post.

I am trying to figure out a way of blocking certain users out of a shared model. We're working on a multidisciplinary Revit project and I want to control who can gain access to my model. Is there anyway to set up privileges so only certain people can access a model?

We are currently on Revit 2014. Any help would be appreciated.

You said "multidisciplinary".... Best practice is each discipline should have their own model and copy monitor the other models.

You can't effectively lock a model.

Just tell them to stay out of the project... otherwise no there is no way to restrict a file in Revit.  You can talk with your IT and block restriction to a drive on your server and only give certain people access but not on a job to job basis from Revit.
