I am building a electrical library using Revit 2013. I noticed this problem while creating lighting fixtures with an emergency filled region associated with a yes/no parameter. Once the fixture is placed within my project and its tagged with a "Type Mark" tag. If I select or deselect the instance parameter for emergency hatch, the type mark tag moves to a different location than where I had placed it. I cannot figure out what is causing the lighting fixture to act this way. I have created different types of fixtures as well as hosted and nonhosted. Not all of my families are behaving this way though. I have also noticed it on other families that I created with "clearances" yes/no parameters.

Tags attach typically to the center of a family and that may be changing when you switch this.

Am I dreaming or did I read something about being able to set the tag location now in the family 2014?

I don't think I've seen a tag move by just changing the family type (which basically turns a fill pattern on).

However if the emergency fill pattern is a 'nested' family with a different base point from the main family it may just jump based on what WW states. ie: Keep the two base point the same. Basepoint is defined at the intersection of two reference planes that 'define origin' as properties.
