Hi all!
I've been searching for this a long time and wondering if anyone has managed to find a solution to this:
I've got a very large, complicated model (in Revit 2014) that requires topographic changes on a regular basis (civils department making very substatial changes). I've tried using CSV files and 3D XYZ dwg files to import the data to the existing topography. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the spot heights to change to just the new file, it "meshes" or merges with the existing data. Has anyone come up with a way to combat the merging of the data without having to start a whole new topography. The size of the site is over a sq km so with all the civils info, roads, pathways, landscaping etc I don't want to have to redraw these items again each time the design changes.
I'm aware that Revit is not the ideal tool for landscaping however the client has insisted it be done in Revit.
There are tens of thousands of points on these files so manually entering them would be illogical unfortunately.
Many thanks for your input.

I would have the site in a seperate linked project. In your case, the real drawing is the Civil and your topograpy is just 3D and spot information. Then I would create a new topo each time the civil changes then reload the file in the project.
