well i can click on export 3d dwf file but when i click on export 2d dwf file it says i need to d/l dwf writer, but ive already installed it! incidently when i click on the "Autodesk DWF Writer for 3D" shortcut on my desktop it will not save my current revit file into a dwf file, plzzzz help thx

try and install the dwf writer again... Smile I don't have it installed so i get the same error

I get this same message; however, Since I installed the newest DWF Writer, I use the Revit PRINT command and choose the Autodesk DWF Writer for 2D driver in the Windows Printer Control Panel to print my 2D DWF files. i just printed 5 sheets from my current residential design project to DWF using this method...no problem. Cheers!

thx for info peeps but still no luck, tho i dont understand wht jobcaptain is saying, lol, amg i really need to be able to save to dwf 2D!! when i go to dwf writer and choose the revit file all it says in the status box is "waiting...." and nothing else happens, need help asap plz

right, well although it doesnt seem to save into a dwf file, i checked the folder ive saved to and its there! so to save it i have to open dwf writer and chose the sheet i want and press save, the program then crashed saying "waiting..." but the file saves ^^

actually the dwf writer does not work for 2d views, thank you revit for messing up my project -.-
