Is it possible to have model text filled in? I creat it but it shows this "bubble text" with just bold letters that are outlined and white in the middle. Best I can do on my own so far is look at it in realistic colors and it infils gray. I need it to be black when shown on no color. Is this possible?

Did you happen to check your HELP or even the properties of you model text?  If you click on your text and look at the properties you can add a material the text.  And in the material you can change the surface pattern and color, in your case you want a solid black surface pattern

I did that, nothing changed. I even changed the surface pattern and still nothing. Is it something that would need to be printed to have it show up?

No, you are not doing something right. Show me an image of you materials you assigned to your text

I found the issue. I need it to show up that color in a 2D floor plan view, not just in 3D. That is the issue.

So you fixed the problem then?  There is still no issue from 3D to 2D it still works.  The image in the last post was a 3D and the one in this post is 2D.  Model text is 3D so it will show up everywhere.

Then no the issue isn't fixed. It shows up in 3D, not in 2D for me.

What Revit version? Do you have all of the updates installed?  Can you attach an image of your material settings like I asked before?

Hi.

I found this thread and am having the same issue, but I cannot find "...settings had it turned off" (these settings).  My model text shows fine in the family editor but not in the plan view of my building model.

I have the properties for the material set as noted above, but I cannot make the model text solid.  What am I missing?

Ian
