Im building a steel angle cage around some RF computer vaults. using profiles and sweeps im doing OK, but some of the lines show through. does anyone know what this means? heres a picture. whats funny, is that it seems NOT to be the true edge of the extrusion, but the edge of the curved surface in the 3d view (does that make sense? its the turning edge of the rounded nose of the steel angle.)

edit. added close up image

I think I would have to have the elements to be able to help.

Cool here it is.

some of the angles are library parts I made, others are in-place sweeps with a profile Ive drawn called "steel angle"...I changed from library parts after I realized you couldnt rotate it around to the different orientations needed for the vault.

I personally think the solution is to change the profile from a curved edge to a faceted edge so the program doesnt bug off the curved edge in 3d view.

thanks in advance.

I can't see your problem anywhere normally BUT.... Revit does have problems when you zoom out in some views and apparently this does print.   This only occurs when you zoom out in view and print current window.

Thanks for taking a look hub.

check this image. see how the steel angle edge shows through the one that should be blocking your view of it?

and yes, it does print. I think its a 3d thing with the curved edge of the steel flange not being resolved by the 3d engine.

THanks

Michael
