Hi! I am working on a project that needs to be mirrored. For example a two story home that needs to go from garage left to garage right. I go into the mirror project tool and the program locks up at about 29%. I tried letting it run over night and it still hangs at 29%. I tried purging the project, I tried omitting the site, I made sure nothing is pinned, I even copied the originak project into a new project file and nothing seems to work. Can anyone offer tips or ideas how to get the mirror project tool to work?

Thanks!

Rob

Do you have all of the updates installed for 2013?

Hi! Yes- I have service pack #3 installed. I tried it on two computers too with the same result. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Rob

Do you have linked elements in this file?

Do you have inserted CAD in this file?  (Watch out for familiy inserts!)

Do you have images in this file - including decals?

Hi,

I went through and un linked everythign and un pinned everything.

No decals or images in the drawing (I do have images in the title blocks)

No AutoCAD files in this one.

I did a save as for the past two or three homes to save some of the items that are specific to this project, can that have something ot do with this? Is it possible to purge out the "saved as" data?

Thanks,

Rob

Save as has no affect and there is nothing to purge from that process.

We only used 2013 on one project because it was a poor release but that project was too large to test.   I upgraded a smaller project and I used the "mirror project" and it worked just fine.  <<< You did use the mirror project command from the Project Location/position dropdown?

Maybe you need to send the file to Autodesk.

This the first time I am having trouble with the mirror project command. I have used is several times in the past and it worked great. I am using the mirror project from the manage pull down under position. What address would you use to mail the file to Autodesk? I never sent a file to them before.

Thanks,

Rob

We are on subscription and this is part of that service.  You log in and create a ticket on your problem  They give you a download address and the turnaround is like 1 day.
