I initaly only needed floor plans for a drawing I', working on, so I didnt put much thought into the window detail. I now need elevations, and sections, And I would like to change the family of my windows. I have duplicated the defult window type to make many diffrent window sizes, so it would be a hassle to import a new window family and replace all of the existing windows. Is there any way I could change the one family of windows I'm using to a family of windows with mullins without having to replace every window?

You can replace window families with another window family.  If both are built correctly, there should be no issues.  Just load the window family, right click on one window and pick "select all instances in model", then in the properties box, drag down to your new window type and your done.
