My view title is not aligning with other view titles within the same sheet. This seems pretty simple. I created my own template and families based on existing revit families and templates, so as far as I know I used the out of the box templates. Not sure if my template file is messed up. As a test I tried starting a new dummy project using the "default" revit template and when I place two views on a sheet I can grab the view titles and they snat to eachother just fine. This is the functionality I know is standard and I want to have it in my template file. Anyone know where the switch is on this one, or experience similar problems?
I am fairly sure this is not a service pack issue, as I have set up revit templates in the past and experienced the same issue. I just never addressed it in the past.
Thanks in advance.

This is not an issue in any of the releases that I have ever heard of.
ARe you saying you created your own view title family? If so, then the reference planes should be set to "defines origin".

"Defines Origin" is checked, but greyed out. But thats how it is in the "view title" template. I created a new view title from the view title template that comes with revit. For some reason the view title is not aligning with the other view titles within the sheet.
I even tried taking the view title that is in the "default" revit project file and modifying that to look like my title and saving it, in lieu of creating a new one from scratch, to see if this would fix the issue. no luck. I must be doing something wrong on this one.

Okay, so I found the solution. Not sure why this is the case, it doesn't make sense to me. But I went into the default template, changed the family "viewport" to have the correct view title family, leaving it with the name "viewport" and not changing it, transferred project standards to my project file. then i purged all the viewports that i had in my template other than the new one just uploaded. then, i could re-name this viewport/ change parameters, etc. to meet my needs.
Strange, but i think maybe to clean up my template file awhile ago i purged the file and for some reason the viewport types when they are purged they loose this functionality. strange because there is not a button or switch anywhere to turn this on or off. Anyway, i guess lesson learned is to not be purge-happy. Its just that I try to keep my files clean and lean I guess I was cleaning too much. Back in the cad days i used to purge and audit continuously.
well, sorry for all the confusion, anyway.

I have encounterred this issue in past releases, and usually attributed it to the family having an issue...
I have now the same issue appear. This time however, some of the configurations of the family snap, and others don't, namely when the circle is turned off, things work fine??
I would love a solution to this problem.

And then I found the solution....
I hope this work for all...
When the 'Show Title' parameter is set to 'When Multiple Viewports' the snapping stops, and works fine when set to 'Yes'?
Weird...
