I followed a very clear tutorial on Youtube on how to cap a duct.  You can use the ribbon and select "cap open ends" or simply select the duct end and right click and select "cap open end".  

However, in either case I get the message:

"Revit could not find a matching Cap in "Rectangular Duct: Mitered (w/ vanes) Elbows/Taps".  Check the routing preferences of..."

I selected the afformentioned "Rectangular Duct: Mitered (w/ vanes) Elbows/Taps", went to Edit Type, "Routing  Preferences", "Edit...", scrolled down to "Cap" and found it to say "None".  No kidding!  The pull down menu had no other choices other than "None".

Does this particular duct family not offer caps, or is there something I can change that will allow it to be capped?

Or, do I need to download another type of duct family?

All help is greatly appreciated.

You need to load the caps into your project.  Go to insert family>Ducts>Fittings>Caps
