Fairly new to Revit.

I had trouble inserting diffussers to the bottom of a rectangular duct.  My solution was to create a RCP view of the plan I was working in. This way I was able to "place on face" the diffuser to the bottom of the duct.  Again, since I am new to Revit this seemed like a convoluted way of accomplishing this task.  However, with experience, it may seem second nature.  I was just wondering if there is an eaiser method.
