I am using Revit 2013. I have been trying to figure out if there is a way to make the keynote tag display as they used to in many CAD drawings, with the general parent number and then the more detailed description. Currently our office keynote file structure uses arbitrary letters/numbers after the general number:
05 12 00 STRUCTURAL STEEL FRAMING DIVISION 05
05 12 00.A00 STRUCT STEEL 05 12 00
05 12 00.A01 STEEL BEAM 05 12 00
05 12 00.B00 ARCH EXP STRUCT STEEL 05 12 00
etc..
However the letters and numbers after the "." mean nothing, don't correlate to any section in the specs, and are confusing.
I want the note to read:
05 12 00
STEEL BEAM
instead of:
05 12 00.A01
STEEL BEAM
I have tried editing the family but it seems that once it is designated as a keynote type, then it only lets you add Key Value and Key Text as the parameters.
Any ideas?
