I am trying to create an editable 'Dummy' wall label (to put in legends and such).  Basically, it doesn't need to be a smart label just something I can edit.  For the life of me, I can NOT seem to do this.

I go into the label and set the parameter (NUMBER) but once I accept it, I can not click to edit it (It's like it's 'read only').  What am I doing wrong???  I started the family as a Generic Annotation

Thanks for any help you guys can give!

If you are using a generic annotation family you will create a lable>add a parameter (call is something like wall type), set the type of parameter as text, set it to be an instance parameter and then load it into your project. From there it should come in as a ? that you can change to a number/letter

Any chance you also know how to make the text rotate with the tag?  Its a triangular wall tag (a dummy one for legends and such).

Thanks for your help

You could use visability parameters by TYPE.  So you would have an Up, Down, Left, Right parameter for example.
