Hi all,

My colleagues are using a curtain panel family to represent a balcony assembly, as shown in the image. They have a section of curved glass, modelled as an extrusion in the curtain panel family, they want kept seperate and switchable via visibility settings. The problem we're experiencing is that though the extrusion displays in the correct position in the family editor, it becomes displaced when loaded into the project (shown in the image) - very odd. This happens even if the extrusion is locked to ref planes set out with a locked dimension to the 'centre' ref plane in the curtain panel family.

The panel's dimensions in the family editor (ie the family type), match the exact dimensions of the panel in the project. One fix for this is to compensate for the displacement by moving the extrusion by the offset distance away from it's correct position in the family editor, so that it is correct in the project, but this is obviously not ideal. Any ideas what may be happening? Any advice appreciated!
