Hi i am in revit 2013.

once we insert a survey from CAD into our revit file it tends to move around as you soom in and out in a view. if i use a line tool and select the boundary line on the Acad survey it will be offset slightly to the Cad file.

attached image showns the survey outside my Boundary. But i have highlighted the acad survey and the lines are where my boundary is hsown and edge of landscaping strip.

Does anyone know why the Acad file moves around as you zoom in and out and is slightly out to what it does in revit?

This happens to a few other people in our office also.

Thanks

I've never had an issue like this.  Do you have all of the updates installed for 2013?

In most cases, I think this is the result of having a very large cad file.  I also think that Revit treats this more as an image and there might be some "pixalating" that happens.

In this case the Acad survey was only 100KB so is a small file.

i am sure i have all of the revit updates. i will check other computers in the office.

Is there a way to tell if revit is up to date? i dont want to have to install updates on other computers if they are already done.

any help woould be much appreciated.

thanks

In the top right corner of Revit there is a satallite looking icon which is the communications center, if you click on it it will tell you if your product is up to date.  They are not automatic updates so if you didn't install them then your Revit is not up to date.
