Hi Revitcity users,

I am in an architecture program and I am working on a design project in revit. I have an idea of the colour of the brick that I want, but revit only has 3 or 4 actual brick colours when it comes to rendering. So, basically my question is; does anyone know of a good site that has brick libraries? ...or knows how to change the colour/ am I missing something? ( I know I can change the graphics to whatever I want...but I'm talking about the actual image revit uses to render with)

I want a dark grey brick, and nothing in revit looks like what I want. I'v tried googling brick colours and textures and loaded them into my material but it never looks right.

...or is there an easy way to photoshop the existing brick images revit has into a colour I want? (I just thought of that as I was typing this out...I'll look into that further; I'm no photoshop wiz)

Thanks

You can go the the website of brick-manufacturers, they often have large scale images of the bricks. (At least in Europe they do)

Otherwise you can try www.cgtextures.com or http://bgfons.com

Yah I tried going to the manufacturers but there still isn't that great of variety...

That first website really is impressive though, thank you; thats exactly what I was looking for.

One a side note though; there is no way to change the brick colours that revit already has then?

Thanks for the reply

You could take the image that Revit has and do a Save As and change the color in photoshop.

A European manufacturer is Wienerberger, they have a site for the UK and the US

http://www.wienerberger.co.uk

When you select Belgium there are a lot of textures, but you get the site is in Dutch or French.
