Hello, can someone explain ho to create an angle parameter for a column? I want to create a column of any profile shape, that I can easily rotate in plan view by changing it's angle.

I create a reference line at the origin of the sketch, snap it on the principal reference planes and add an angle parametel with the horizontal plane, and everything works fine, the reference line rotates as wanted, then I try to make a group of the column + this parametrised reference line to make it rotate with it, but after i make the group, when I change the angle, everything goes crazy, I don't know, the column and the line do not rotate around the origin, like before making the group. What can I do.

Could you attach a screenshot of this problem? 

Also, are you creating a "column family" which contains the angle parameter? Or is it a "group" as you said in your question.

I may be wrong but with my experience in Revit, you must create a family in order to use the parameter you are talking about.
