Hello all,

I've looked in help and I've searched through the forums quickly but I can't seem to find any help on how to insert a floor system type into a drawing.  For instance if I start a project using the "Architectural" template I have floor options like wood joist 10" or wood joist 12" etc,......  However if I start a project using the structural template I have options like concrete on metal deck etc....I realize these are two diffferent disciplines and I understand why they are in their templates and for the most part I'm fine on knowing how to use most of these options however my question is.  How do I get say a 12" wood joist floor system into my "structural" file or vice versa?  Basically how do I insert that "system type" into my drawing so I can choose it instead of a conc w/ metal deck or whatnot?  I realize that with windows, doors or whatever you can simply load these in a number of ways but I can't seem to find how / where to load the out of the box floor systems from one project to the next.  I'd gladly research it and try to find the answer if someone could jjust point me in the right direction.  Maybe I'm just not using the right search keyword or something.  Any help is appreciated.  Thx

All system family types are created within a project or copied between projects.  They are types so to create a new type, click on a floor and goto the properties, duplicate and edit the type properties.
